Slow Waves is a musical journey built on hypnotic guitar textures in an unhurried, cinematic atmosphere. Designed for those moments when you want to slow down, breathe, and let the music carry you, the track unfolds like a gentle tide—layer by layer—creating an immersive sonic landscape.

The song began with an accident. Although I’m best known as a drummer and keyboardist, I’ve spent the last couple of decades teaching myself guitar. Instead of traditional techniques, I’ve always gravitated toward unconventional open-string voicing—what my friend Dave Benson jokingly calls my “claw chords.” While experimenting with an upside-down D chord shape and moving it around the neck, I discovered a series of lush, ringing harmonies that immediately sparked an idea. Pairing this voicing with other open-string chords, Slow Waves naturally evolved into a relaxing, psychedelic soundscape.
